COVID-19 UPDATE

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT OUR RE-OPENING

Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:

  1. When you arrive for your appointment, please call or text our office as we will let you know when it is safe for you to enter the office.

  2. Only the patient that is being treated will be allowed to enter the office (with the exception of minors). Of those, only one parent/caregiver may accompany the patient.

  3. Please wear a mask to your appointment. Federal guidelines for social distancing and wearing masks in businesses continue, so bring the mask you have been using. If you do not have your own, we will provide one; however, personal protective equipment supplies are dangerously low. If we run out, we will have to close the office again until the supply-chain is back to normal.

  4. Your temperature will be taken by staff using a touchless thermometer. If your temp is over 100 degrees F, you will be asked to leave and not return for the specified 14-day self-quarantine requirement.

  5. You will be provided hand sanitizer and asked to sanitize your hands.

  6. The 6-foot social distancing guidelines apply when in the office until seated in the treatment chair.

  7. Please try to use the restroom prior to arriving at our office. This will help reduce our staff’s need for cleaning/bathroom maintenance throughout the day.

  8. We will no longer be offering listerine or allowing patients to brush upon arrival at the office so please brush before coming to your appointment.

  9. Please dress warmly/in layers. We will have the AC lower than normal to help our staff adjust to the added layers of protective equipment they will be wearing all day to ensure your safety.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we have taken to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call the office (650-697-9000) and a member of our team will be happy to assist you.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors, and friends.

Sincerely,
Dr. Supriya Vasanth and Team
